[Law]

Both EU regulation 2790/99and the UK Competition Act 1998 (Land and Vertical Agreements Exclusion) Order 2000 exempt certain vertical agreements from the competition rules. The EU exemption applies provided that clauses from a list of banned clauses are not included in the agreement concerned and a 30% market share threshold is not exceeded.
